The Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby is one of Manitoba’s largest charitable ice fishing derbies. Over the past 15 years, LDB ICE has supported over 85 community projects; and re-invested $222,497 into Lac du Bonnet and surrounding areas by donating event proceeds to non-profit organizations.
On February 25th, 2023, the Derby celebrated its 15th Anniversary! We had 1,210 excited anglers fishing 1,426 holes who caught 116 fish!! We had a record number of 72 sponsors! We gave away over $60,000 in cash and prizes. With support from our sponsors, we reinvested over $24,073 back into the community through Community Volunteer Organization hours ($11,723), Grants ($10,000), Bursaries ($2,000) and Donations ($350).

WHY YOU SHOULD SPONSOR LDB ICE
Anglers and outdoors enthusiasts love our derby because size doesn’t matter, and any fish caught can win one of fifteen Hidden Length and Time Cash Prizes totaling $26,225. In celebration of our 15th Anniversary, we raised our first place cash prize to $15,015! We also had 95 random prize draws up for grabs, where participants didn’t even have to catch a fish to win, and tons of random on-ice swag and prizes given away. With all this excitement, our on-ice participants make up one very large, engaged crowd.
SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
We have a variety of ways for your business to partner with us, and when you do, we will do our best to showcase your business to hundreds of anglers and outdoors enthusiasts on and off the ice. Merchandise and Gift Certificates are great ways to promote your business and increase visitors, and of course, cash contributions help us cover the operating expenses of our non-profit organization.
