SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY

Every year, the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Committee hosts one of the biggest events in Lac du Bonnet.

The Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby is a Non-profit Organization raising funds for community groups in Lac du Bonnet and surrounding areas through a fun, family-oriented event that promotes Lac du Bonnet as a four-season playground.

The profits raised from each Derby event are invested into our community through grants, bursaries, donations, and paying a volunteer workforce. To date, $200,424.25 of funding has been injected into the community.

The Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Committee is proud that it has been able to help so many great projects over the years. Our funding support has helped over 73 projects in Lac du Bonnet, and surrounding communities come to fruition. The Committee has injected funding into the following:

• Centennial School Outdoor Education Centre

• Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron 249 Classroom Development

• The Lac du Bonnet SlowPitch Baseball Diamonds

• The Lac du Bonnet Wildlife Association Ponds and Interpretive Trail.

• The Blueberry Rock Trail

• The Lac du Bonnet, Rational Family Therapy Program Development

• The Lac du Bonnet Arena Outdoor Lighting Project, and so much more
